google dns qne pdanet
ok, just learning about google dns. I installed pdanet on computer and android so I can occasionally!! get internet through my phone on my laptop in emergency situations. I was testing it out not too far from where I live and in order to get it to work, I had to turn the check mark off on the comptuer side that says use google dns. I know it's just another way of name resolutions and getting them faster - but I wonder what would cause a particular area to not work when that check mark is on. Anyone understand what I'm saying? LOL. I guess you'd have to be familiar with android phones, and pdanet.

My guess is that it has to do with whatever cellular provider you have for your phone. Has it worked previously with pdanet? When using your phone it's hard to say exactly which network (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T, etc...) you are actually on since they all share cellular traffic.
