Hp G72 laptop
Hello people....
![]() Well I have and interesting issue.... ![]() Laptop about 1 1/2 yrs old on push button won't turn the thing on . In a bunch of pieces right now and finally got to the power sw and very small ribbon cable just kind of came came off both end s as I was taking it apart . The connectors are those that the little piece (white holds the ribbon in ) not sure of the augmentation and tried to use a meter to see if the sw is good unfortunately there are eight connections ? (on /off ?) Will have to call Hp Monday but any advice would be appreciated..........Thanks Al

What are/were your plans once you got it apart?
I would suspect the very common problem of the ac power plug. They often break off the mobo.

Its not the power I don't believe I get a little led comes on green and if the battery is in it it goes yellow. I believe that was the color sequence..

It turned out I had to completely disassemble, found problem in very small ribbon cable just not making good contact from PB to MB.....
