On the go business laptop
Hi All. Happy Friday.
I am a consultant with 17 clients. 80% of my work is at the client's site and the balance in my office. I have been using an older Sony laptop and it is time for an upgrade. Your recommendations are greatly appreciated: Budget up to $1,500 ($1,000 preferred). Would like almost instant on similar to tablets Will need 3g/4g + wifi - prefer built in if that is available Applications are internet browsing, MS Office suite including email. Fast is good! Will not store a lot of data so gigantic disk drive is not necessary. Mild preference of having CD/DVD but not mandatory Thanks for your help. Tom |

its gonna be hard to get all you want in this price range.
Something like this, but put an SSD hard drive in it for fast boot up. Newegg.com - Fujitsu LifeBook T900 (FPCM11768) Tablet PC Intel Core i5 520M(2.40GHz) 13.3" Wide XGA 2GB Memory DDR3 1066 160GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi Intel HD Graphics Does not have built in 3G though. To get built in, you would have to buy from manufactor, like a Dell Latidude. But after you add in MS Office and an SSD, you are gonna be way over $1500 |

Go to lenovo.com and customize a Thinkpad T420 with SSD. It comes with upgradeable mobile broadband and starts at $1099.
