Corroded Charger/Phone jack
Hey guys, I recently had to return my phone due to the charging port on it being corroded, i could visibly see it and was having a lot of issues with it. After going through the hassle of getting a new one(and a case to cover the port to avoid the same issue), im now back as I was.
However, according to the rep who told me about it, its possible my chargers, sync cables, and etc that have ever been connected to it since the corrosion, are all possibly ruined too. Anyone know if this is true? On my every day charger cable I wouldnt be surprised, but on some of the others that I use say once a week or so, I would like to hope not. Is there any reversible thing to do? Would it be safe to say use, an old toothbrush and some contact cleaner on the seldom used docks/cables to clean them out thoroughly? (unplugged of course) Im not very familliar with cell phone ports and what not, so Im not 100% sure on this stuff. Thanks for any and all help. DD

Does it have a dust cover? I'd blow the crap out if it with a duster

The phone? Id does now, its a matter of apparantly water got on one of the contacts, and essentially had the green look of a battery that had been left forever in a flashlight.
