Cool C++ language

I am thinking of learning C++ and I only have a little programming experience. I checked out this site www.gamedev.net from a link in this forum. I wanted to read the following book, "Beginning C++ Game Programming," because I'm a gamer, but there have been no reviews yet on this book. The link is this http://www.gamedev.net/columns/books...?productid=379

I am open to any suggestions, comments, or help... I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Thanks

Seeing as how you are new to C++ and relatively new to programming it would probably be wise to start with something such as Sams Teach Yourself C++ in 24 hours/21 days, as game programming is rather complicated and it would be better for you to take your time, gain some expierence with C++, and then work your way up to games.

Go to www.samspublishing.com and take a look at all of the different programming books that are available to you... That should give you a pretty good idea of whats out there.

That link leads to a pretty good C++ site I used to go to when I was teaching myself C++. It's got a great forum where you can post questions and learn from other programmers. Hope that helps.

Yes I do like that link! Very helpful...I will be spending a lot of time in those forums. I already posted a question there with the code included. Same user name, if you have any more tips...

Thanks
