1st website and need a bit of help

I'm just in the process of putting together my first web site for our golf society. I am using frontpage 2002 and I would like to include a pdf file for people to download. I cannot find anything in the step by step guide, is this a simple matter? Your help is appreciated.

Just put a link to the file on your page. For example, if the PDF file is going to be stored in /docs/golf.pdf, then just add this to the HTML on the page:
<a href="http://www.mywebsite.com/docs/golf.pdf">Click here for PDF</a>

Hey, I've compiled a guide running through some good links and such about website making.

With Frontpage 2002, there's also an easier way to do it - use the Normal Tab, type in whatever you want it to link to your PDF file - like "Download PDF" or "Click here to download". Then highlight it, go to Insert>Hyperlink. Locate the PDF File on your HDD, then press OK.

Hope that helps,
kram

I don't think that would work if he uploaded the files to a remote web server. Not sure whether thats what he did or not, just thought I would let him know in case he has any issues

Yeah, in any case, what you insert in the location box would be what's going to surrounded in the anchor href tags. So he could insert the address on the remote server and insert that into the addrress bar on the Hyperlink prompt. It's probably easier doing what doctorgonzo said, though.
