Looking to learn PHP
Hello,
I've been researching programming languages and I've decided to learn PHP and I was wondering if someone could point me to a good book and/or website that is for people with no prior knowledge of programming. Thanks. |

Welcome to PC Mech forums
![]() I've been looking into a simialr topic for a while, and I've decided that the books from Peachpit Press tend to be the most lucid and best guide for learning programming languages - the PHP Quickstart Guide is written by Larry Ullman, and so is the QuickPro Guide PHP/MySql which is written by him also. kram

The book that I always recommend for newbies to PHP is PHP and MySQL Web Development, Third Edition. It is written with plenty of examples and explanation of the examples. Plenty of sites offer tutorials as well mainly Zend, Webdev and many others too numerous to name.
