Make an image background transparent...
hey ppl, i was wondering what FREE image editing program has the ability to set a solid background transparent??? I know that pait shop pro can do it and the file has to b a gif to do it but i don't know how to get the background transparent to the webpage!!! thank u i'ma noob....

i don't know how to do this, aym kan u tell me step by step? i download it, then what? i have a win rar thingy but its just a whole bunch of files......

You can download an installer from: http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html You need to download GTK first, then install GIMP.
