C Compilers

I'm in a C programming class right now. All of the work we do on our own computers and upload to one of the school's Unix servers, where we then remotely compile it with GCC (GNU C Compiler, I think) and run it. I'm assuming that the resulting .out file will not work with Windows, but I was wondering if there is a free C compiler available which I can use to compile C programs to run on my computer, running Windows XP
