Opensource Intranet Portal for Win98?

Hello,

I currently am running a tiny intranet for a home/home-based business with 5-6 local employees on an old Dell L400C 400mhz celeron w/64 MB of RAM running Win98. There's about 5 GB free on the HDD. The "intranet" for now consists of one portal page with links to frequently used sites, e-mail, searches, etc. Basically it's a 'start' page (just written w/straight HTML).

I'm running Abyss web server and have the latest version of Perl installed. I modified a free guestbook CGI script to create a simple phone message system for our employees who are constantly in and out of the office or out in the field (and it works!)

I'm looking to step it up a notch or two so I'd like to find some opensource portal system that will run on Win98. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm figuring I'll be creating everything with PHP but as I learn I'd like to find a relatively easy to install portal system with growth capabilities (of course, free/opensource is good and I'd like to avoid upgrading hardware if I can).

This intranet is certainly not mission-critical in any form and is mostly for the employees' convenience and as a learning experience for myself.

So if anyone has any suggestions for specific pacakages to try or pointers for getting started, I'd appreciate it. I've done some searches on PHP and Portals but I really just don't know where to start. Thanks!
