Creating Flash (.swf) with Adobe GoLive CS
I've downloaded a demo of GoLive CS because I was told it can create animated Flash objects and is much easier to use than Flash MX 2004. Was I mislead? I can't figure out how to actually create a .swf file using GoLive. I have done it a few times with Illustrator but the flexibility is VERY limited when creating .swf files with Illustrator and it really isn't practical. My employer has offered to by software for this purpose, I just want to get the best software without having to "re-learn" a bunch of things (I have been using Photoshop, InDesign, etc... for quite a while and I'm very comfortable with it).
NOTE: I am not using GoLive to create web pages. My coding is fully free-hand typed and I don't need a WYSIWYG editor or any other tools in the software. Just want to create some snazzy .swf objects for insertion into pages. Anybody know how to create .swf files with GoLive, or will I have to learn how to use Flash MX 2004? Thanks very much folks, Stryker

Hmmm.
I dont know much about Go Live. But I do Know I really learned flash really quickly with the best tutorial site www.flashkit.com everybody reccomends this site. It will help you do anything and everything in flash. I reccomend sticking to flash because it sounds like you have to know a lot about Go Live to do that. Just stay with flash.

Thanks HNPFL,
The more I used GoLive, the more I realized I didn't want to anymore! It is one of the mose unstable pieces of software I have ever used. I had it installed for literally about 4 hours and it crashed a minimum of 6 times. That's pretty pathetic. Now that I'm reading reviews on GoLive, I have seen that everyone has this instability issue. Good advice my friend... Flash it is! Thanks again, Stryker |
