DARKBasic/Blender

Hi,

I have heard a lot recently about various 3D 'programming' tools like DARKBasic and Blender.

Are these really worth the hassle and are they any good? Do they give you any knowledge of computer programming which would help in the future (at present I have only tinkered with HTML/JavaScript and QBasic (the simple stuff ))

So, are they a waste of time or are they helpful - and can I expect to make any decent things with them after a bit of work or will I be stuck with a £30 piece of crap which doesn't help me a bit??

Thanks again,

Jim

Trying to program with Blender (Never heard of DARKBasic) would be a waste, since basically it isn't programming. I used blnder and I like it because you can develop a game quickly without the hassle of coding and that's fun. Besides Blender is free to download.
