I was wondering if it is possible, using CSS, to make a division's height 100% of the window regardless of how much text is in the division. I know you can do this using tables, but they become messy after a while, so I prefer not to use them.
Thanks!

What exactly are you trying to do?
How do you want to handle any excess text that doesn't fit?

Actually, I just figured out how to do it.
Using absolute positioning, I made the division's height 100%, and since the absolute position makes the object free from any other objects (such as the window), the division now goes from the top of the window to the bottom. Although in IE the division extends longer and stops after you scroll down a little ways. Works fine in Mozilla though, stupid IE. I am making a bar go down the left side of the browser window for navigation links. Any excess text will cause the division to automatically increase in size, therefore making room for the text. Thanks anyway guys! |
