Composer:make cell = image size?

How can I remove white space left in a cell after I insert an image ?
I have pre sized the image as close as I can just by guessing at the desired size to fit the cell, but I still have space left.
With other image software you can manually drag the cell walls inwards or out.
Image properties>appearance>spacing > is set at zero

Also- can I work (build the site) in a higher resolution than I intend to publish it at ? Do I have an option to select say 800x600 at time of publication ?

PS: This is what I am trying to achieve:
http://home.comcast.net/~christopher33324/example.bmp
ie. from the left:white space, image, text, whitespace.
Right now I have white space between the image and the text that I can't get rid off.

Thanks
Chris.

Mozilla/Netscapes Composer. An old version. I just down loaded the newer Nvu stand alone one but it doesn't seem to address my problem.
Thanks

Try H space around the image. Or maybe its V space. They control the space left around images.

PHP Code:
<IMG SRC...  HSPACE="2"
^fo

I'm not ready for html foolishone!- I'm still learning the wysiwyg mode, but it looks like I am very limited in what can be done without getting into the code.
There is a css editor included which I will read up on if no one can tell me how to do what I want without using HTML.

Hiya Parangles,
Would you be able to post/attach the page you're working on? There are a number of things it could be, but it would just be guessing if I can't see the code.

Thanks,
Stryker

Yeah, sorry about that. I have absolutely no knowledge of Composer, otherwise I would tell you how to adjust it. I'm kinda in the same boat as Stryker, I am only guessing at a possible solution.

EDIT: Do you have a screen like this

Thanks ! I just found out that ver.1 of this Nvu program was just released today June 28th, and it looks like a serious improvement on the old Netscape Composer. I will explore it some more, and read the tutorial on the site. Its here if anyone is interested. www.nvu.com

Nothing to show Stryker Just a photo and a block of text. I'll get back.

" EDIT: Do you have a screen like this?" Yes - been playing with that.

Looking good !
IMHO after one day working on this, you have to use HTML.
WYSIWYG is not good enough. Just by going into the html and deleting what intuitively looked wrong cured a lot of my problems with the block of text.

Nvu is really a great open source program .
Thanks to all for your encouragement.

Hopefully I'll get faster- 6 hours for a photo and some text?!

Chris.
