Prices to expect for hosting?

Ok Now that me and elementz have owned FFRHosting for a few months we are ready to move up. We are moving to a dedicated server. We were running on a reseller, which we then resold to the people. Now we want a dedicated server for us to resell directly. So basically what should I expect to pay for a server with Cpanel+WHM. I already put an ad on freewebspace.net for a server with a 2.8GHZ P4. But I'm rethinking that idea. See, beforehand we ran on a resold server with a 2.4GHZ Celeron which crashed several weeks ago dure to the high demand our clients put on it. (16 load for anyone that know Cpanel readouts). SO we want it so that we are the only ones on the sever. But could I get by with a Celeron instead since we will be the only company on there? Just asking a few questions. We were only hoping to pay only 100$ a month. But now it looks like we would have to go 120-150 for a good one? any companies you guys recommend?

Processing power for just serving up webpages is not too resource intensive. Assuming that you are offering MySQL or other db, it may depend on your pricing plan and how you sell, i.e. are you overselling the server. If you are using a lot of MySQL plans, then you should get a P4, Xeon would be better but much more pricey. I would probably avoid a Celeron though.

What I would do is to go over to Webhostingtalk, post what you are looking for and then let them fight over you.
