External Javascript file onClick
Can you call an external javascript file from the onClick event? What I am looking for is something similar to the loadVars function in Flash but in javascript. I am trying to update a JS array using a PHP file.

I think I found out how. I am going to try using XMLHttpRequest. Anyone know the compatibility of this and if it is safe to use in modern browsers?
