I like the overall layout. In my opinion its clean and friendly. the only thing I would change would be going with a white background all the way, but color schemes are in the eye of the beholder. Great job!

It passes the basic test.
(No outrageous color = good, no picture background = good, no music background = good, no flashy JavaScript = good)

The color scheme is good, easy on my eyes so I don't have to strain myself trying to read the content. The rest of the content seems to be in place.

But, if you want my honest comments.... please don't take this the wrong way.

1) The slogan, "Travel with less. Travel with more." I understand what you trying to say, but at first the message seems a bit redundant to me. When I first looked at it I thought to myself, "Why would I want to travel with less and then go with more?"
It's your slogan. Don't change it because of my view. IMO, you should make it simpler so that it doesn't have a second meaning (that I leave for you to think about).

2) Layout Outline, from first look I thought, "Is this person just dumping everything on the website and not deal with alignment?" Should think about the structure layout. Btw, if the site is targeting people around the world, you should think about designing the website in an 800x600 format. There are still a big percentage of people still using that format on their comp. I know that I don't like to side scroll just to see the content if I was using 800x600 (luckily for me, I don't). Most of the big website hotspot is design in 800x600.

3) Menu - Make it stand out from the rest of the texts body. At first glance, I thought it was included in the text body so I scroll around trying to find the menu. But, it turn out that long line of text IS the menu. (Add another frame to hold the menu?)

4) Organization - Try to put the main topic into a separate page. For instance, Feature Products & Destination Guides should be on a separate page. Have a page to dedicated to them and not be bundle up.

If you want more tips, I have to charge you for the service. j/k
Work on those in the mean time.

I see that you design your site using frame layout. Interesting in a way. Those are my suggestions. Your website still looks decent as it is right now.

Good work.

Things that I would work on:
-Cluttered home page. Just because you can put a lot of stuff in random places on your homepage doesn't mean that you should. I would strive for far less clutter and better organization.
-Text and fonts - a few things that you did should never be done. One is to underline text on a webpage that is not a hyperlink. Another is to have bold text for no reason. Still another is to use differing text sizes, types and sizes seemingly at random.
-Frames - won't help you with any SEO. They are also a bit messy. I suppose that your only reason for using them is so that you can wrap travelnow's site in your frame. Still there should be a better way.
-Advertising - advertising some of the cheesy stuff at the bottom of a site does not give a very professional look. It makes it seem like that you don't do well enough with the travel business so you need to sell ad space.

Not the worst I have seen. Logo is okay and it is not difficult to figure out what the site is about. Just needs some layout help mostly.

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I tried the white background, but it was a little rough on the eyes. It made the screen really bright and I had to squint. The slogan is Travel FOR Less. Travel With More. LOL! Got rid of some of the clutter. Menu stands out a bit more with seperators and rollovers. There are a few more modifications i have made, but I will lets you guys see for yourself. Thank you for the feedback so far and dont worry about insulting me. Constructive criticism is always welcome.

IMO, the way you used the frame outline is not the best way to maximize its potential. I went through the website to view the content and I get very annoyed by the frame menu. It’s probably just me, but it gives me an impression that the top frame is eating away the information of the bottom frame by overlapping it. If I had to redo it (outline) and I would just use a table outline instead. If you worry about the user having a hard time find the menu when scrolling down. You can have a “BACK TO TOP” button to get back to the menu. Just an advice, you can ignore it if you don’t feel that what you want in your design.

I would work on the CSS to adjust to 800x600 resolution. You get the horizontal bars when it is on that level and you want to avoid that to make it accessible to the most people possible. You already have a two column layout, and I would just cut the lower column width to half to make it look better.

Also what service are you using to find the fares? Are you getting XML feeds from expedia or orbitz? How does that work because it is pretty cool functionally. If you need help marketing it, please PM me.

OK, Ive done some work on the site and have just about got it where I want it. I looked at alot of the travel site templates on templatemonster and many other places, but they are a little overwhelming when you look at them, or just not quite what I need. I also changed the layout of the site to fit with 800x600. Thanks for your help guys and any more feedback is very welcome

You might want to add your address to the contact information at the bottom.

You can always add a page stretch in your script. So when viewer with a bigger monitor or higher resolution viewing your page, the web page expand itself to fit the page. Have a look on http://cisco.netacad.net for example. Try minimized and resized the page to see what I'm talking about.

I ain't no expert, but

I'm not an expert, but I do put a "center" tag right after the body tag and a "/center" right before the "/body" tag. That way the web page is centered in the browser window. I also use a motled light background, so as to make it easier on the eyes. This really helps when reading a 800X600 page on a monitor set higher.

One other thing you might consider, is that many travel customers are senior citizens. Senior citizens have trouble reading smaller fonts. At least a 1 or 2 size font would help them out. Might even set your site apart from the other travel sites. Your site would be the one the old folk would be able to read. Just an idea.
