Building a website...

I just register a free one at geocities, but whenever I try that wizard builder, this java script runs, and ask me to log in. But even though I log in, it says that I have not log in, and restarts again. So now since I am clueless about how to build a site, which area should I start first? java? normal html? or learn those codes. Also if you have good tutorial sites, please post. The highest website I have is a friendster blog

Make sure that you turn on all cookies. The likely reason why sites that dont accept logins is that your cookies are set differently.

Best place to start for learning to do websites is HTML.

There are some good tutorials here:
