Domain and Hosting
Hi all,
I have a server that can been seen from the outside world. It has multiple web pages on it and you can access them from http://www2.mckeelacademy.com/ However, I want to split apart http://www2.mckeelacademy.com/smea from the rest of the website and register a domain. Is it possible to register a domain, somehow get DNS servers (is that what I need?) to point http://mydomain.com/ to a folder on my server? If so, how? Would it just be more easier to get a domain+hosting package then have to deal with our personal server? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can just put up a forward to(eg: http://192.xxx.x.xxx/site) I don't know about the rest.
