Hi,
I have a few images on a main page of a website, and they are not attached so if I were to type something, it misplaces the entire page abruptly. I am wondering how I can keep the images at a standstill and be able to type words over the images (keeping them in place), and eventually doing two things: 1) Information about the company will be plain text 2) Other typing will eventually be hyperlinks to the other pages. Thank you in advance, |

You want to put text on top of the image? I know of 3 ways to do that.
1) Put the text on the image in some image editing software, but it couldn't be a link unless you then turned that into an image map or hotspot. I remember doing that in Frontpage but it's been forever 2) Make a table and make one cell the size of the image and change the background of the cell to that image. 3) Use layers and CSS to position the text over the image (I'm not entirely sure how to do this or if you can do it in Frontpage). I think that's what you want to do, but I may be misunderstanding you.

he means doing it directly in frontpage and not an exterrnal prgram. I know you can do it in photoshop, but how to do it in Frontpage is what I want to know too. Thanks!

Unfortunately I don't have Frontpage and it's been 2 or 3 years since I've used it, so I'm kinda guessing here until someone with Frontpage can pipe in. If you can assign images as backgrounds to a cell in Frontpage, then you can do it that way.

Creating a table would probably be the fastest way to do it within FrontPage. Create a table using one of the icons on the toolbar. A one by one table should work. Right click inside the table and click table properties. I believe you can, from there, select an image to be your background image. I do not know what version of FP you have, but I believe mine was FP2k3, where you could simply browse an image and set it as a background image of the table. After that, you can type inside the table with the image as the background without misplacing the image.
