C++ Compiler
Which is the best C++ compiler to use for, not an idiot. I know what I'm doing when it comes to computers but I need a compiler which I will be able to use when Learning C++
I have RedHat Linux 6.1 and a friend has offered to show me how to use Emacs or something? I already have Microsoft Visual Studio 6 but they have said this is a bad product as it is real bad Bloatware. I told them what do you expect with Microsoft in the title, if you scroll down to the 57th line and press TAB++ALT+CTRL+MINUS whilst clicking both mouse keys down there's probably Flight Simulator 2001 hidden in there ![]() Any help appreciated,

So, you're looking for a compiler to use under linux?
Linux has a built in C++ compiler, and I think that will be your only option, as I don't know of any commercial packages for Linux...

Well, I was wondering which was better for C++ beginners really, and which is better overall...
MS Visual C++ Studio 6 or The Built in Linux Compiler |
