Apache Mail Server

Hi,
I have apache running on Windows, and for php I was wondering if there was anyway to use the mail function?

Are there any mail server programs that I'd be able to install and use easily so that I could send messages from localhost?

You should just be able to send emails using PHP's mail function. Or do you want a fancier program to work with?

you can't send mail without a mail server. PHPs mail function depends on an outgoing mail server. If you host your site somewhere, that's usually fine since they have one. But I have this on my own computer, so it doesn't work.

The closest I got was entering my ISPs SMTP info instead of using "localhost", but my ISP requires authentication, something PHP doesn't support (plus I'd rather not be sending thorugh my ISPs SMTP)
