What are you most passionate for? Do you want to earn money, or make a site as part of a hobby?

To be honest, there are plenty of sites. If it's to be about any of the above topics, your site is going to have to be pretty spectacular (not to say that you shouldn't try), for it to gain and hold my attention and keep me coming back. Good luck with whatever you choose to do, and invest your time and efforts wisely.

A little bit of everything would be great , people grow and learn more so new websites should be sharing this . right now we need better sites , eather fix or delete the bad ones before we start making new ones . we definutly don't need more bloggers .

Frankly, we're drowning in information these days. Don't ask us what we're interested in...ask yourself what you're interested in--So much so that you are willing to share it with everyone.

I have to disagree entirely. Blogging gives a person a voice and an audience, something which many wouldn't be able to achieve without the internet. Bloggers are able to not only expresses their experiences, feelings, and insight with others, they are able to express themselves freely in whichever manner they see fit. For many, including myself, I would never express what I write in blogs (or even articles on this site) verbally... I just don't have the interest to preach to a generally uninterested audience (ie. those in my english class when we give speeches). I would like to see an increase in blogging and even, if possible, a way to make blogging easier for the common folk. Never, and I mean never, will there be a time when there is "too much" free speech. |

Sites that are more stable, and written in proper code not just IE code. Sites that are more easily navigated, easier to read (as it not being built for 600x480 that are terrible at higher res'), easier to read (as in not light green text on a barely darker green background), sites that are not "cutesy" for just for cutesy sake (innovative, cute, humorous, etc are OK), sites with dates (so you know if it's history info, which is good, or old info being passed off as new info), etc., etc...

Yep, that site needs to be something I am interested in, and it needs to be something I can think/write about. I'll get an idea soon enough, and I'm the only person who knows myself well enough to know if an idea is a winner. Thanks for the help, |

I think a good way to start is by making a website of something you do as a hobby or a music artist/band that you like. That's how I got started.
