help with cpanel please
Hi,
after some messing around with differnet packages I have now got a reseller account with hostgator; I have a few websites connected with my work and it seemed the best way to go. I have hardly used cpanel and find it ratehr a stepp learning curve. The support at hostgator is very good but the help files and documentation for using the cpanel is either very technical or so limited you feel you have learned little. I have searched around for info but all I have found is more technical stuff - I have the cpanel manual but without having any prior experience it isn't the best place to start. CAn anyone suggest a good tutorial or beginners guide or some resource I can read, watch or study to get up sto speed on cpanel? I will go on to read the manual but I would much prefer to have an overview first and have some idea of what I am looking at. Thanks for reading. |

Yes, I did try googling it but came up with a long list of stuff along the same lines as I already have. I came here because in my experience so far a recommendatin from pcmech is better than a google search. - Now, if only there was a way of advertising that you guys would make a mint! |

Are you talking about using Cpanel on your hosting accounts or setting up Cpanel? Cpanel is fairly easy to use although I only use it when I have to.

I have a reseller account with Hostgator and it uses cpanel. So I need to know my way around cpanel and hosting in general - i guess that since the hosting tool is cpanel i figure if I know my way around that then I'll be ok. Some people are born IT people and some have to work at it - I'm one of those unforunates who has to work at it so I like to see the absolute basics first so I know that no one is taking any knowledge for granted. |
