How can i host my website from my pc?

The idea is to host my website with .com from my computer... How can this be done??

Please supply more information about your system.

OS?
Do you have a static IP from your ISP? if so is hosting a WWW allowed on your usage agreement?

the site is going to be loaded on my webserver, based on a amd athlon xp 2000+ 512ram DSL connection, i have a static ip.

i would take a look at XAMPP for windows (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html)

like faulkner said, though, check with your isp Terms of Service to make sure webservers are allowed

If you want to host ASP pages, you will need to install IIS. This ships with XP Pro and is installable via Add/Remove Programs > Windows Components.

You can find a lot of IIS resources that will help you out all over the internet. This should get you started.
