managing a shared server
Hi folks,
I've had websites up and running for a long time, but never had a "reseller" account with my hosting service before, so i'm a little confused. Basically, this new account i just got is good for up to 5 websites. They gave me access to my reseller panel which is WHMX. From there i was able to create new accounts for all my websites (i have 4 total) and assign them quotas etc. But is it ok if they all share the same IP address? they offer the option of dedicated IP's for just $3 each, do i need it? can all my websites still resolve even if they are sharing the same IP? I also still have access to the cpanel login like before, and from there now i can select which account i want to log into and manage. So i'm guessing WHMX is for creating the new accounts only and after that i have to manage each website from the CPANEL? Someone please shed a bit of light for me here!

Probably best to check with your host on the setup. It is done through WHM.
Shared IP address is how most do it now. It used to be every account got an email account but they are a little more limited in supply now. You don't need an IP address unless you have a SSL. Even then it isn't absolutely necessary.
