Stop image downloads

Hi,
I'm new to web building. I have nearly finished building my site with DreamweaverMX 2004. How can I prevent visitors to my site from downloading/copying content from my site, primarily the pictures?

The simple answer is your can't.

1. You could try using Javascript to override the right-click menus, but they could always just view the source and access the image directly.

2. You could embed the images in a flash site, but flash is terrible for SEO and they could just screenshot and crop the images.

Your best bet is to watermark your images which you want to protect. They could still download the image, but it would have whatever you decided to superimpose on top of it.

Many people will either not know how, or think of viewing the source.

Disable right click is a least a start. Script is here:

Then you could just left-drag the image to your desktop:

Bottom line is the only real "protection" you can implement is a watermark on your images.

Or pick it out of your browser cache or use and alternative browser where the no-right click script doesn't work.

A watermark and keeping the image as a small as possible is the only defense.

I've seen some scripts on hostscripts.com which say that they encrypt your whole site to prevent any downloads is that possible?
