What could I do?

Hey folks,

I am looking somewhat hopefully and very naively into writing a basic program that would obtain certain stats from a few websites for work. For instance, I need to get daily balances from a few sites...is there a way to get/create a toolbar that would display this info on my desktop?

I know that is way broad, but if you even know the language I'd have to use, I'd like to start learning it. It would be way faster in a general workday to be able to do that.

Thanks!

Your best bet is not to write a program, rather to subscribe to something like Google Analytics. Your description, as you noted yourself, is rather vague and I'm guessing this is what you're looking for.
