Does anyone know of good calendar software so that I can host my own calendar?

Not sure, but maybe Google Calendar will fit your needs.
Edit: Whoops, just noticed the forum... Maybe that's not the right type of suggestion...

In terms of just a stand-alone online calendar, Google Calendar is probably the most popular and best solution. Beyond that, you could look into some pms (project management systems) that integrate calendars are part of a project management package, or potentially Microsoft Exchange. I think it comes down to what you're looking to use this calendar for. Are you looking to make this a private online calendar with backend access, or a public calendar that can be freely modified by anyone?
