New code for body bgcolor?

one of my teachers in college said that theres a new way of writing the body bgcolor code in html? i've googled it but found nothing. but i've only found this code " body bgcolor="#000000" ". he wants me to find the new way of typing the code but i'm having no luck on finding it.
