Have arranged for web hosting, emails are set up, no web page built yet, but one purpose of getting set up with domain name was to transfer data files between me and my customers.
I would like to set up password protected folders in my FTP site for each of my customers where they can send input to me and I can send output files back to them. Ideally, they would not be able to access another customer's area, or even know it exists. FYI files are 3D solid models using SolidWorks, and they can get BIG FAST. Can I do that? (If this belong in another forum on FTP, I don't mine if it gets moved) Thanks in advance. |

Yes, you can do that with FTP. How do you that exactly depends on the tools your hosting company gives you, but it is certainly possible to create a large number of FTP users and give them per-folder access rights.
