Need web hosting - unhappy with ipowerweb

Hi!

At the moment my site is hosted by ipowerweb. However i'm very unhappy with the service i get from them. Almost every day my site goes offline for a few minutes and sometimes longer.

Possibly related to this, my upload / download from my FTP server (hosted by ipowerweb as part of the package) is also extremely unreliable.

Soooooo, do you guys think that this is all a result of going with a cheap hoster?.......i really don't mind paying double or even more, but for really reliable, robust hosting.......i really don't need the 1500GB space that ipowerweb give me....10GB would be fine.

Any suggestions?

There are a handful of hosts folks have recommended or not. Plenty of good choices, so if you're not happy where you're at now, its time to move on.

If you don't mind, how much are you paying now? I use Surpass hosting (which I believe is recommended in that thread) right now. It's cheap at $6/mo. I would have to say they are very good especially considering what I'm paying.

I think i pay like 8$ a month or something....not sure actually...........with that you get 1500GB of space.........but unreliable hosting!
