CMS choice

Hi All,

playing around with CMS systems as seem so easy to set up good looking websites with good functionality quickly for clients rather than coding it all in like ASP which i have been doing!

webhost allows easy install of the following:

Drupal
fuzzylime (cms)
Geeklog
Joomla
Mambo
Moodle
Nucleus
Open Realty
php-fusion
phpWebSite
WebSiteBaker
xoops

any recommendations on which ones are best and which ones have most themes or styles available? anyone had any experiences with them?

I looked at wordpress too but thats mainly a blog and all themes they offer look the same whereas the above ones seem to be more for a whole website with blog style content as just part of the package and seem to take less time to adapt than wordpress.

Depending on the needs I would go with Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal in that order. Joomla and Wordpress have a ton of add-ons, templates and developers out there. Wordpress is probably a bit easier to use on the admin side but it is strength tends to lean towards the blog side of things. Joomla does blogging but it's strength is more towards a component/add-on model.

I've worked with Joomla and Wordpress...can't vouch for any others.

If you're concerned about HTML/CSS validation, forget it. Many templates don't validate, unfortunately.
