How to integrate Paypal with autoresponder to create a membership site

I am looking to start a membership site that lasts 12 months on a topic where the lessons are delivered each month via autoresponder. I would like to use Paypal as the payment gateway to get subscription payments. Is there a software program out there to integrate the two or is there some other angle I can take?

You might want to ask this on site with a larger focus on web development. That's a bit outside of what most folks around here do.

The sitepoint forums might be able to help you out

I've had extensive experience with building membership sites.

There are several platforms you can use. My personal preference is aMember. It's probably one of the most popular one's mainly because of the price. It's very flexible and allows you to control every aspect of your membership site and it's dead easy to implement a stands Paypal setup.

As for autoresponder deloivery of content - very easy. It has a build in autoresponder feature and you can also control what level of subscriber gets what.

It work with all major CMS and you just get the plugins you need.

Another option would be to use Wordpress. It has a built in "membership" system and if you simply configure the permissions you can make it work in a crude way. Alternatively you can try a wordpress Plugin called WP-Member for $30. It's very easy to use and very flexible. great plugin, but you must use Wordpress. As for delivery of content with this one, you might need to customize it a bit with it's permissions, but it's definitely possible. I would suggest you contact their support before you buy, to see if you can do it.

Good luck.
