Calendar

I am building a church website using SeaMonkey Composer. I would like to add a calendar to it. At the very least I would want the current month and probably the next month. The secretary does do them for the newsletter in Publisher. Would a good approach be to convert that and use that or is there a better way? Thanks.

2 choices - convert the .pub to HTML using Publisher, or (better in my opinion) convert the .pub to PDF. Publisher's HTML conversion is very inefficient and you will wind up with very bloated code. Try it both ways as a test and see which you prefer.

I was leaning towards PDF conversion, but was wondering if there is a free add on or some code that might work better for websites. In some ways converting what the secretary had already done would make my life easier as long as it would work well for the site. However, would I be able to put it on the page itself, or would it be something someone would have to open with Acrobat or the other freebie you mentioned elsewhere?

Yeah, I know how bad Microsoft Office etc. are at converting to HTML as far as efficiency in coding. They are a mess or at least what I saw years ago.

I don't think you can embed a PDF into a webpage. You will probably have to use the conversion. It shouldn't be too bad if you make it a dedicated page with a link to it on the main page. Just be mindful of the directory structure in the conversion.

Another possibility...you could set up a dedicated gmail account and imbed the calendar:
