Website
Hello all
Id like to build a better site then I have now. But (o) boy am i in for it. I created a free google webpage and purchase my domain. I'm basically forwarding my domain to point at my webpage for now. www.djradyus.com I have dreamweaver but damm that looks complicated. Id like to eventually embed little players that look better and possibly have my logo on it. Is there any advice you guys can give me as far as a easy way to do this or a site that could simply build it for me? Thanks |

It looks like you're trying for a more dynamic site (adding or changing content) rather than a static site (set it and forget it). I'd suggest trying Wordpress with a free template. It's generally a blogging package but you don't need to use it as a blog.
You'd just create categories for Music, Pictures, Videos, etc, and have a menu that takes you to each category. It can take a little effort to set up but there's a fairly large and helpful community to walk you through it. And, you don't really need any HTML knowledge to keep it up to date. The content editor looks almost exactly like the one you used to write this post.

thanks so much. So from what I understand so far is I create what I want. Get someone to host it like http://www.000webhost.com/
Then point my domain to it rite...

Same here. GLC and Force turned me on to them. They have some of the best packages for hosting that I have seen in a long time and they are affordable prices. Last edited by mjkovis; 09-07-2009 at 02:19 PM. |

Price seems ok. Since Geocities did away with their stuff am left out. Does Surpass offer wysiwyg or do I have to know html? I'm used to using tools offered like colors, pasting pics, etc. If it's not easy I run. Let me know before I sign up. Geocities was $12.95 a month.
