I am not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but here goes. I am having trouble with my word. I have microssoft office pro. When ever I go to write a new document, or open an old one I get little dots every time i hit enter or the space bar. I also have what looks kind of like a roman numerial all over the page and follows the astrik around. Can any one help, I have tried removing the program and reloading but this has not helped.

Those are the formatting codes.

Goto "Tools -> Options -> View -> Formatting Marks" and uncheck all of them. Or there should be a button somewhere that looks like a Pi-like symbol (the thing you called a Roman numeral that followed your cursor) somewhere in the toolbars. This should solve your problem.
