Virtual testing server on a Mac
I'm trying to utilize the built-in apache / php webserver in OS X as a web design test bed. My issue is how to include mysql so I can test my database functionality. I installed the mysql server for mac, but am unsure of how to access the phpadmin in order to create the databases and get everything up and working.
I was using xampp for this, but I now am trying to utilize the features built into OS X instead of adding additional programs that do the same thing. Thanks!

Is there a reason you'd rather go with what's built-in?
Personally, if it's just a test bed, I'd just do the easiest approach. I got tired of spending hours at a time configuring test servers when there were packages (like xampp) that could do it for me. Beyond that...you can either try the sitepoint.com forums, or start googling away. Chances are that there aren't many folks on PCM who've tried what you're trying.
