Suggested Reading?

I am wanting to get back into web developing. Its been years since I've done any and when I did it wasn't anything to impressive. I have Adobe CS4 Web Premier and wanted to know if yall have any suggested books I can pick up that would help out learning how to build websites and such.

Thanks,

Honestly, I might start with learning how to use some of the more popular CMS systems available, such as Wordpress, Joomla, and/or Drupal.

Then learning HTML and CSS so you can customize templates to your liking, then possibly PHP and MySQL to work on building your own templates. Wordpress would probably be the easiest to build templates for. Joomla wouild probably be the hardest.

Sitepoint.com has some good resources.

sitepoint has put together some good books. They also have http://reference.sitepoint.com

I can't recommend specific titles for HTML/CSS since I never purchased any myself.

If you have a borders or Barnes & Nobles near you, they have a good section for programming & web development.

I found this link a while back... Hope it helps! Some of the books on there I have personally purchased myself at one time and they were extremely insightful.
