How do you add links to Adobe Lightroom gallery photos?
Hello everyone,
I was wanting to know how you add links to Adobe Lightroom gallery photos? Here is the xml gallery code I am trying to add links to: thumbnailRows="3" navPosition="left" title="" enableRightClickOpen="true" backgroundImagePath="" imagePath="images/" thumbPath="thumb/"> I have Adobe Lightroom 3. So far browsing through various tutorials and help notes I have not found a way to do this. However, I am hoping there is in fact a way to do this. Here is the actual flash simpleviewer gallery uploaded I have uploaded for a visual example. In Progress I would simply like to add links to the photos once they are clicked. |

Hmm, that's a flash gallery.
Can you post the html and css files that LR creates? I could take a look at them in Dreamweaver if you like. This strange, that LR doesn't automatically make the pictures linkable. When I created my galleries it did so. Then again, my galleries are HTML, not flash.

Just a question: which of the LR galleries are you using (Blue Sky, Charcoal...)?

Charcoal I believe
Charcoal, and then I just stripped it down and made it simple from there.

Hmm, I'm confused. When I click on the first link you provided, I get sent to a flash gallery apparently created with SimpleViewer.
The charcoal gallery in LR3 is an html gallery (point in fact, that's the one I used for my site, I just modified it a bit). If you use an html gallery, then you can make pretty much any object on it linkable. A flash gallery, such as the one done with SimpleViewer is a completely different animal, though. See, in flash galleries, the only linkable pictures are the mini-pics on the navigation panel/bar. The big ones are no longer individual files, but a single .swf file. A .swf file cannot be clicked on (well, it can, but only right-clicked, which displays the Flash contextual menu, which in turn allows you to open the particular file in a different window). In order make your pictures linkable, we need to edit the .swf file itself, and for that we need Flash Professional. |
