Site with many affilates
I see this forum doesn't get a lot of action. Ah, I don't want to join another forum so I'm going for it anyway.
I dabble in web site development using wordpress, oscommerce, drupal or html if I must. I've got someone who has a site that really needs help but I'm not sure how to tackle this one. She sells wedding invitations and accessories (champagne glasses, cake cutters etc) all from affiliates. So if you go to her site and do finally find the shopping area all of the links open in a new window or tab and go to affiliate sites that are branded as her business. So she really has numerous sites branded as her business linked from her actual domain/site. Ideally getting rid of the affiliate sites and managing all the products yourself would be the way to go but the cost would be enormous with all the varieties of wedding invitations there are and all of those are already set up on her affiliate sites. This is a legit biz and not some link spam site just trying to make a buck off of links. There are numerous other problems to work out and I am just getting started with this so I won't bore you with those right now, maybe later. Basically what I want to know is if anyone else has had to put a site together where the client sells everything from affiliate sites and if so how did you tackle it? |
