Cms
We are having our website redesigned and I need a CMS. I am unfamiliar with them, but the designer mentioned this one. Is anyone familiar with it? Any suggestions?

I have never heard of the one you linked to but I have tried both drupal and wordpress. Drupal is awesome but very confusing. I even bought several books to try and learn it and it is just too time consuming. Wordpress is the way I would go and can be used as a CMS with very little knowledge. Also there is so much wordpress help online that is easy to understand that almost anyone can set it up and make changes to their site.

That looks like a homebrew CMS somebody built in their spare time.
The typical freebees: wordpress, drupal, joomla, concrete5 Longer list: What CMS packages are available?

Thanks everyone. No, I haven't made a decision yet. I have been busy and haven't even checked back here except my notifications. I really miss reading and posting and hope to soon. There was one that another guy mentioned who is a student / teacher around here (of two that he looked at). It was dotnetnuke I think. This was months ago.

Hi, I was referring to reading and posting in the other threads or visiting here a lot like I have been. The website is being redesigned and I am helping collect, create, compile info for it. I am looking for something that is free (for nonprofit or personal), easy, but powerful for me to update or create additional content after the site is redesigned. Thanks.

Easiest to learn. Very powerful. Tons of free plugins, addons and themes to download. Even the pay themes that some web designers sell are very low in cost. The only kicker is, you NEED a good web host that has fast hosting for a WordPress website. |
