How to get ads going?
I've had my site up and running for a year now and I now want to add advertisements to it. How do I go about doing this? I'm not talking about wordpress plugins (I have that installed and ready to go already). I'm asking where does one go to get people interested in giving you ads to put up in the first place?

As in - people or company's pay you to host their ads?
You have your sales department start cold calling etc... You'll need to prove that your sight has a high traffic volume... The higher your traffic - the more you can charge.

It's all about traffic and the type of traffic.

Your website should have enough traffic, that will attract advertisers. You can check the CPC value. You can go for ad-sense, use some sample ads(banner, text) for sale of the ad space in your site.

Do you have any type of analytics installed to track statistics on this website (e.g. Google Analytics)?
This is honestly the first step to analyze traffic data in order to ascertain if your site would provide enough value to entice a potential advertiser to purchase ad space. |
