DNS zone file
Ok, I have a domain name that I have added an MX record to for our Exchange email, and everything is working as far as sending mail, but the autodiscover for seeing free/busy is not working.
I have added the CNAME record with our domain and the autodiscover server, but still not working right. After talking to support for the vender that our domain name goes through, they tell me that because of the MX record I added in the zone file the option to change the name servers, or add NS record is not available, I also cant add an SRV record. Also, when editing the zone file for POP and SMTP it only allows an IP address to be entered, our Exchange server vender only lists an address, I pinged the address to get the IP and entered that. This doesnt seem right to me, I had issue's in the past with our domain name vender when after what they said was a system upgrade, I ended up having to pay for a 'DNS manager' service on top of paying for the domain name. If it wasnt for the fact that changing vender who controls domain name means access to the domain name would be down for 1-3 days I would of did it already, but thats a long time to go without email. When I run the Test Email autoconfiguration I get GetLastError = 12029;httpStatus=0 and then GetLastError=12009;httpStatus=0 the local autodiscover also failed SRV record lookup failed, but I dont have a SRV record in the domain zone file, because I cant add one. |

You might have to try over at Spiceworks Community for this one.
From what you wrote, this sounds like a rather complex setup.
