HDD Light

Is there a way to turn the HDD light on the computer case on and off through programming, or does there have to be hdd activity? Thanx.

I don't know of any program but actually there is a wire to the board from the case for the light with a little creativity you could wire a switch for it.
Some of my older hard drives have the light on the drive. It used to freak me out watching it flash in sync with the case light.

Hehe, now I want a hard drive with a light on it

I may try that switch idea, it would definatly be fun. I would still like to know if it is possible to access it via programming though. Thanx.
