New to Java...best way to learn?
Hi,

I'd like to learn Java (the Visual ++ variety) but I'm a cheapskate.

Can you recommend any books (cheap) or websites that I can self teach from?

I've a reasonable level of understanding and would want to progress from newbie stuff to inetmediate/advanced fairly quick.
