I have been programing with vb for a little while basicaly making little programs that will make life on Win98 a little easier.
On my latest program I need it to automatically connect to different dial up ISP's under different conditions. I though at first I could make a shortcut to a ISP from Dial Up Networking and simply shell it from Vb. But I need the program to automaticaly connect. With the IE connection dialog the is a connect automatically check box, is the any way I can shell this dialog box other than requesting a web page because this way I would only be able to connect to the default ISP. Does any one have a any suggestions? And One final question is it worth upgrading to VB6? Thanks for your time spent reading this! I apologize for not being able to answer your first two questions, but as to whether or not it is wise to upgrade to VB6 right now... I would recommend waiting unless you have a very compelling reason for spending the money. The hype for VB7 is already in the magizines (VBPJ, etc.) and is supposed to be released next spring. You'll just get hooked into spending even more to upgrade again then. From what I've read the odd numbered versions of VB seem to be the ones with the most noticible changes, not that VB6 wasn't an improvement over VB5. For what it's worth, I'm still holding onto VB5 and waiting, also.
