ShutDown API's

I made a program that shuts down the computer in Visual Basic 4 Pro. It also could reboot, log off etc. This program used the ExitWindowsEx & ExitWindowsExec API functions and it worked fine.

I created this program when I was using Windows 95 and it still worked when I upgraded to Windows 98 SE and then Windows Me. The only problem is that it doesn't work now that I've upgraded to Windows XP and I need it. I know a similar API exists for Windows XP as GetRight uses it.

I know there is already a ShutDown.exe file in the System32 directory that will perform this task but it shows the "It's now safe to turn the computer off." message whereas GetRight doesn't.

Does anyone know what this API is?

I tried compiling my program with Visual Basic 6 and the calls still won't work. Thanks for replying though.
