Beginner
Hi everyone i am gonna start to learn programming and just wondering *hope i dont start a fight*whats a good language to learn and also what is actual apps written in like what is Windows,Photoshop,systemworks what are them programs written in? thanks

Hi devil26dice,
Those are all very complicated programs and can not be programmed by one person. But, if you just want to learn quick make Windows-type programs you could use Visual Basic. If you want to learn the basics of programming but have deal with DOS consoles for a while, learn C++ or Java. |

well i would like to learn VB but people always say dont if your gonna be a good programmer I wanna make good but not real difficult progams i dont wanna spend a year on a program and I know i couldnt never make a program like windows,photoshop,systemworks i was just wondering what language they was written in so if someone knows please tell me

Most probably C or C++.

If you want to make windows programs then your best choice is C++, but you need to learn lots of things to do such programs, and as DrZaius siad, they need the work of a group, not one person.
