SQL Server 2000

Hello All....

Is there a tutorial out there somewhere on SQL Server 2K. Specifically using SQL Server and VB? I would if possible like to take a look at that before I go any further. I am currently an AS/400 RPG Programmer and might look at broadening my horizons and going with VB\SQL Server.

Thanks

Not sure about the VB angle... But what I have done is just gotten some books from Amazon or Bookpool.com...Wrox Press has a couple really good books, and I'm sure they've got one that ties in VB. Also, they have a pretty good ASP book, but Ihaven't bought that one yet... here's the two I have:

Beginning SQL Server2000 Programming
Professional SQL Server2000 Programming

Very ingfenious titles... And they both have some seriously anal retentive looking guys on the cover. BUT, they are very good books for learning SQL.

Here are 2 sites to start with :

http://www.databasejournal.com/featu...le.php/1555281

http://www.vb-bookmark.com/SqlTutorial.html

And every time I perform a search on MSN or Yahoo for "SQL, tutorials, free" or "SQL, free" I get a lot of other resources. Hope this helps.

I have the book Visual Basic 6.0 Database Programming for Dummies. It's not bad. What books you need depends on how much database and programming experience you already have.
